Rib Fest
Join us for some Chili, Ribs and a great line-up of entertainment.
Certify your bragging rights by competing in the annual RibFest cook-off event. The Chili Cook-off is a CASI (Chili Appreciation Society International) sanctioned event with the winner earning points for the National cook-off in Terlingua, Texas. Chili contestants can also participate in a “People’s Choice” judging, judged by those attending the event.
Vendors, including rib & chili vendors, will be available.
COOK-OFF RULES
- Ribs MUST be prepared and cooked on site.
- A minimum of 6 ribs must be submitted for judging.
- Meat will be inspected by a Ribfest / PACE official.
- Mandatory participant meeting will be held at 3 p.m. (At least one representative from each team must attend, failure to do so will result in disqualification).
- All contestants will be provided with a 12ft x 12ft space. If more space is needed please notify PACE by Sept. 1.
- All contestants must be in place by 12 p.m. (noon) and all vehicles removed from the area.
- Contestants provide their own grilling equipment.
- Live animals are not permitted in the cooking area.
- Selling or giving away your ribs to the general
public is prohibited unless you are a registered vendor.
- Please keep your area clean and sanitary at all times.
- City of Peoria Health Dept requires each cooking area supply a free-flowing spigot container of water with an on/off valve, a catch container, hand soap and disposable towels to properly wash your hands.
